Funding Programs
Capacity for planning and development are critical for local governments and First Nations in British Columbia to promote economic diversification. In addition, the RuralBC Secretariat has divided funding programs and information into the following topical subpages:
- Agriculture/Aquaculture refers to the production of crops, livestock, or poultry, as well as the cultivation of aquatic animals and plants;
- Economic Development refers to the generation of jobs, assistance retaining existing jobs, and the stimulation of industrial and commercial growth;
- Energy Efficiency refers to the use of technology that requires less energy to perform the same functions;
- Forestry refers to the process of establishing and managing forests;
- Governance refers to methods of systems of government of management; and
- Heritage Preservation refers to the conservation, restoration and maintenance of cultural heritage.
