Information for British Columbians about planning and building their communities and regions.
Planning & Development
Community infrastructure such as roads, sewers and water lines are critical to building green, livable and vibrant communities and regions. The Province of British Columbia is providing communities with funding and assistance programs such as,
- Towns for Tomorrow, a five-year $71-million program accessible to communities with 15,000 pop. or less;
- Building Canada, a joint federal provincial program with a $136-million in provincial funding to help communities with 100,000 pop. or less;
- And LocalMotion, a $40-million program designed to assist communities and regions to build new pathways and bike trails.
