The Economic Development Division is delivering a series of web-based seminars (webinars) on various topics of interest to local government staff, officials and other community leaders across British Columbia.
The webinars are offered at no cost, and they provide the opportunity to link B.C. communities to experts in academia, industry, and government in an affordable, accessible, and environmentally sustainable way. The webinars will provide access to expert advice and a virtual venue to share knowledge and best practices about issues and opportunities in B.C. communities. Most webinars will be recorded and archived, creating a lasting resource that can be utilized and learned from in the future.
The webinars will be:
- on topics of interest and relevance to B.C. communities, while ensuring that content is tailored to the needs of both rural and urban communities;
- 60-90 minutes in length (including discussion); and,
- interactive and appropriate for a maximum of 40 participants.
